After studying architecture in the UK and Australia I went on to work in private practice in the UK and later for the City architects dep't Launceston Tasmania. During the 1990s I taught and lectured in architecture and building conversion in both the UK and over seas. In 2000 I settled in Brittany with my wife and two daughters where I live and practice just south of Dinan. I think that France provides so much visual pleasure, from the colours of fresh produce presented at the market to a simple Breton cottage with it's colourful shutters and warm stone and it is these simple qualities that make a place so inspiring.
